1My son, forget not my law; But let thine heart keep my commandments: 2For length of days, and long life, And peace, shall they add to thee. 3Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: Bind them about thy neck; Write them upon the table of thine heart: (Proverbs 3:1–3, KJV)
About us
Introduction
Table of Heart produce homeschooling resources. We are parents who homeschool our children. We design our resources to fill gaps in existing homeschool materials as needs arise in the course of teaching our children.
Our educational paradigm is based on living books, following the Charlotte Mason method and aspects of classical Christian education.
Homeschool Resources
A. Handwriting and Copywork: A Charlotte Mason Approach
At Table of Heart, we believe in the power of the written word. Our handwriting and copywork resources are designed to foster a love for writing by using whole narrative texts. This approach promotes the use of living books, which are rich in content and engage students in meaningful learning experiences. By using living books for handwriting and copywork, we not only develop essential writing skills but also expose children to valuable literature which nurtures their imagination and curiosity.
B. Timeline Notebook by Learning Areas: Unleash the Power of Visual Learning
One of our standout offerings is the Timeline Notebook by Learning Areas. This unique resource enables students to create visual timelines that enhance their understanding of historical events, scientific discoveries, and culture. The Timeline Notebook aims to promote a deeper appreciation for the interconnectedness of various disciplines. The timeline achieves this by organizing information chronologically and topically by subject areas, which makes it easier for the students to see historical connections.
Christian Thoughts: Nurturing Faith and Character
Humans are made for joy. And humans are made to worship. Whatever brings us joy will become the object of our worship. Our hearts worship whatever is our delight and captivation. Either we will delight in the things of this world and worship stuff, which is idolatry, or we will find our delight in our Creator and worship Him.
Homeschooling is not just about academics. It is also an opportunity to disciple children to delight in their Creator and Redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ. And in delighting in Him, we become worshipers and followers of Jesus Christ. We are to “write his commandments on the table of our heart” (Proverbs 3:1-3). To this end, we look forward to developing resources which strengthen faith in God’s word and assist parents in guiding their children to find their delight in knowing the mercy and truth of their creator and redeemer (Proverbs 3:3).
